Jeremiyah Love's Fantasy Value Drops

Cardinals current offensive situation is not the best outcome for Love's 2026 fantasy value.

The Arizona Cardinals were always a potential landing spot for Jeremiyah Love, the prized RB and top fantasy prospect in the 2026 draft — however, most analysts projected the Cardinals to trade back or draft a different position.

Almost immediately after the pick, speculation on his role in a rebuilding offense and crowded backfield began to fly. His fantasy value would have been highest with the Titans or Giants. With either of those teams, he's a late-1st to early-2nd round pick at worst. With Arizona, there are three factors dragging that number down.

1. The QB situation is unsettled.

Jacoby Brissett is their best option, but the Cardinals haven't committed to him at that level. Tensions are simmering. If Carson Beck gets the nod, defenses will dare him to beat them — and load the box to shut down the run game. Eight-man fronts are a brutal adjustment for any rookie RB learning NFL speed.

2. The backfield is crowded.

James Conner still produces at an above-average clip when healthy. Tyler Allgeier is capable enough to demand touches and was trusted more than Bijan Robinson in Atlanta's red zone situations. Love isn't walking into a feature role.

3. The Cardinals' offensive profile hasn't changed.

Last season, they spent significant time in garbage time — playing from behind, forcing a pass-heavy game script. Fewer two-score leads means fewer designed runs, which means fewer opportunities for a rookie RB to find rhythm.

Jeremiyah Love is a legitimate NFL back with star potential. His 2026 fantasy value just doesn't match his talent level given the current situation. Until something changes in Arizona — the QB depth chart, the backfield, the scheme — he's a mid-to-late 2nd round pick at best.
